Dojodozo

Privacy policy

This policy explains how your personal information is handled on this website, in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (APPI).

1. Who is responsible for your data

Dojodozo is operated by Marie-Solange Vottero, a sole business based in Tokyo, Japan. She is the business operator responsible for the handling of personal information on this website, in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (APPI).

Contact: hello@dojodozo.co — Tokyo, Japan.

2. Information collected and purpose of use

Through the contact form, we collect: your first name and last name, your email address, the option you choose in the form and the content of your message. Through direct email exchanges, we collect the information you send us.

This information is used only to: reply to your request, provide the information or services you asked for (dates, prices, programmes, participation in a circle or a workshop) and manage any registration you make. We do not use your personal information for any other purpose, and we will notify you and obtain a new consent before using it for a purpose that is materially different from this one.

This site does not run advertising, tracking or analytics tools. Your language choice (French or English) is stored in your browser only, and is not personal information covered by this policy.

3. Service providers outside our company

To deliver your messages to us, the contact form is sent through a third-party form-delivery service (Web3Forms), and email correspondence may be relayed by an email delivery provider. These providers process your information only on our instructions, only to transmit or deliver the communication, and not for their own purposes.

Some of these providers may process information outside Japan. In that case, we take the measures required by the APPI for cross-border transfers: we check the recipient's protection framework, we keep the information to the minimum necessary, and we remain responsible for the management of your information. If you would like details on where your information is processed, write to hello@dojodozo.co.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties, except in the cases provided by law (for example a lawful request from a court or an administrative authority).

5. Retention

Messages sent through the form are kept only for the time needed to answer you and, if you become a participant, for the duration of the service and the administrative follow-up that comes with it. Information we are legally required to keep (for example invoices) is kept for the statutory period. After that, it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the information we hold is limited to the operator. We apply reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to prevent loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure, as required by the APPI.

7. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to: disclose the personal information we hold about you (disclosure request), correct or add to it if it is inaccurate, delete it, or stop using it or providing it to third parties. We answer these requests within a reasonable time, after verifying the identity of the requester. Write to hello@dojodozo.co.

If you are not satisfied with our handling of your request, you may contact the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan (PPC).

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date below shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

Last updated: 26 September 2026.
